August Favourites!

Hello all!

So, unfortunately, September has sprung itself upon us and with that comes school, exams, early mornings and tons of home/course work- but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate our favourite beauty/fashion items this past month.

I wanted to share with you some of the stand out products that I've been using an awful lot. Please share with me yours in the comments and if you want more info on any products!

For a while, I've been using Dermalogica's teen range as my face wash and toner, but as I was struggling with my makeup lasting and primers hate my skin, I tried out the moisturiser that came with the CleanStart set. It's called Welcome Matte, and contains spf 15. I use a pea sized amount over any places that tend to get oily on my dry/combo skin and it works wonders!

I've been using Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation (£10) all month and it gives medium/buildable coverage, with a beautiful finish which is far from matte, but isn't overly dewy.

Bobbi Brown creamy concealer in the shade sand (£18). This concealer feels so luxorious with use and I would say is light/medium coverage and works beautifully under the eyes and on small blemishes.

I have an awful time finding the right powder but I am going to save rambling on about it, basically I've found that the MAC blot powder (£20) works perfectly on absorbing oil without it appearing ashy or giving more coverage.

My favourite prodcut this month is MAC mineralised charged water which is my setting spray. It gives my skin the perfect boost getting rid of dryness and  also revitalizes my makeup!

Warm Soul blush by MAC is unreal, it's a blend of bronzey brown, peach and pink and is flawless. If your feeling lazy, it's perfect as a bronzer and blush in one and has become one of my staples.

Ilamsqua powder blush in Tremble (£16) is a warm pink with slightly orange undertones, much brighter and pinkier then something like MAC fleur power. This really compliments my fair, warm skin and gives me such a beautiful cheek. It' super pigmented but can be chalky if you use too much.

I've tried quite a few highlighters, and mememe beat the blues illuminater in sunbeam (£5-8) has been my favourite this month. It's lovely to use and almost makes me appear more tanned with the gorgeous gold undertones.

This month I was gifted with MAC's coffee eye pencil (£10 aprox) and I am in love! I've used this almost everday since I got it and barely touched carbon which I got at the same time. This isn't too warm toned but is beautiful, natural and I've been so lazy with eye makeup just applying this on water/tight line and on my lash line! Perfect for school.

An awful, awful picture but my fashion fave has been my topshop simple skater skirt. It's stretchy, with an elastic waist and it's my favourite piece to team with almost any type of top! I just think it's girly but still somehow edgy. I wore this in my BOHO CHIC post.
